National Winner for the EEPA 2023, category Supporting the Digital Transition 

Sines Tech – Innovation & Data Center Hub is the National Winner for the European Enterprise Promotion Awards 2023, under category 3 – Supporting the Digital Transition. 

With this achievement, Sines Tech reaffirms its commitment towards putting Portugal, and Sines in particularly, on the map of the go to spots regarding digital innovation and technological solutions. 

The European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) are an initiative of the European Commission aligned with the priorities of the Europe 2020 strategy and coordinated in Portugal by IAPMEI. EEPA recognizes the most successful promoters of enterprise and entrepreneurship around Europe, showcases the best entrepreneurship policies and practices, raises awareness of the added value of entrepreneurship and encourages and inspires potential entrepreneurs. 

Sines Tech is a premium site for submarine telecommunications cables mooring and data centers, located in the Sines Industrial and Logistic Zone (ZILS), the largest industrial park in Portugal, managed by aicep Global Parques. The dynamics of Sines Tech cluster and its community led to a domino effect on the economic development of the region by attracting investment and high paid national and international talent, with a visible impact on the region’s offer of commerce, services, and leisure. 

As the National Winner, Sines Tech is now prepared to represent the country at the European level of the competition, where it will compete with leading innovators from across Europe. This recognition not only highlights the project’s accomplishments but also positions it as a benchmark for excellence in driving the digital transition, in course in Portugal.
